Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

There are several arrangements under the legal framework regulating the collection, storage, processing and use of our customers’ personal data. In particular, the Law on the Protection of Personal Data lays down the rules and principles for the protection of personal data. Furthermore, the Law no 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce contains provisions regarding the protection of personal data. In addition to all the foregoing, the Turkish Penal Code No 5237 provides for criminal sanctions for the protection of personal data under certain circumstances through its provisions. On the other hand, we are required to collect, store, process and use our customers’ personal data in order to meet obligations under arising under the Law no 6502 Consumer Protection and Regulation on Distance Selling Contracts.

Your request will be concluded within the shortest time and within 30 (thirty) days at the latest according to the nature of your request however, if the transaction requires an additional cost the fee will be charged in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

Furthermore, article 4 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data imposes an obligation for data controllers to keep personal data accurate and where necessary kept up to date.
